About
This is the College Esports News Hub
This is a new project dedicated to centralizing results across collegiate esports leagues. For proof-of-concept, we have started with Collegiate Rocket League tournaments hosted on start.gg. start.gg runs the brackets but shows one tournament at a time, the CEN Hub stitches the season together and groups rosters under the school that fields them.

How it stays current
A scheduled job checks start.gg through the day. When a bracket changes, it pulls the live season, reapplies CEN's editorial corrections (school names, varsity labels, merged duplicates, logos) and republishes the site. Earlier seasons are frozen and never re-pulled. Notice a mistake? Click the “Request a Change” button located at the bottom of a page to mark any mistakes.
The ingester respects start.gg's published limits (80 requests per 60 seconds, 1000 objects per request). Last refresh, token status and recent runs are on the status page.
How teams get labeled
Varsity means the school itself runs the program, with staff support and the school's public backing. CEN verifies that from the program's own site or social account, never from a bracket name alone. Club is a school-recognized student club, verified the same way. Confirmed means the roster provably represents its school: an official source names it, or it entered an official CRL qualifier under the school's name. Everything else stays Unconfirmed until a source turns up. A, B and C mark squads within one program, A being the first team.
Run a program that's missing its label or labeled wrong? Send College Esports News a link to the program's official page or roster announcement via our “Request a Change” button and it gets fixed on a following request.
